I’m compensated for starting threads asking questions that I could easily google. That way when others google the same question, it leads back to tigerdroppings and results in additional hits.

I'm interested to see how the split is going to work out long term because the audit firm is going to need tax and other expertise, but no one is going to want to do that.

Tax/Audit will combine under "AdviceCo" or whatever they're calling it. Though I know the folks that are doing Internal Audit may move to "NewCo". SInce they won't be doing attest work they can still sell them consulting work.
Take this with a grain of salt but, I have a friend who's a Manager on the IA side and he said the reason the split is getting delayed is because of issues funding it.
