I once read that Godwin has a Ph.d but not sure how legit that is

That would make his character on the show even more hilarious if true.

I mean, a guy with a Ph.D. saying shite like "my hands smell like taco meat"?

Im sure some of you know this, but Phil used play football at La Tech, he was the starting QB... Terry Bradshaw was his backup and became the starter when Phil decided to stop playing football.

You should be asking what people in South Arkansas or East Mississippi think of them.

Because that's where they live. ?

But why is a texan even interjecting themself into a discussion of La?

Triggered much? You do realize that a large amount of current so called Texans are from Louisiana. Louisiana population is dwindling and most are heading right next door to Tejas. Therefore , many of us know everything there is to know about Louisiana. I mean the real Louisiana. You’re obviously from shite hole north LA which is why you got so offended. Sorry to hurt your yankee redneck feelings. Go watch duck dynasty to cheer up. This “divide” is real and majority of actual South Louisiana wants nothing to do with North / central Louisiana yet all the rednecks in North LA love to connect themselves to South LA culture to feel relevant.

baw there's a town in South La named after my family on my grandmas side that her distant relatives originally settled, gtfo here with that shite. I was born in South La, grew up in CenLa, lived in Br/Shreve/ Nola and spent lots of time everywhere in between. Its all Louisiana, anything else is just banter. Thanks for proving my point though about lots of La people moving to Texas and similar ideologies. Go get you some sweet Ariats and drive your 2wd truck with mud grapplers on it like a true suburban Texan.

Met a couple of them informally, in grocery store and at baseball games. Very nice, very talkative, very good people. very down to earth.

My friend did all the explosions for the show. Said the Robertsons would go duck hunting and make the crew wait for them. He didnt care because he was making damn good money.

Every explosion on the show was 100% scripted with a lot of safety precautions.

shite, I'm a direct descendant of a guy that founded a town in Louisiana. Step your game up, baw.

Also, weird way to establish cajun cred.

Before DD I met them several times. They were just good people and never acted unfriendly or stuck up. You could drive up to Phils house and talk duck hunting with him, he'd tune a call and give it to you.

I saw Phil one time in Bass Pro and not one single person stopped to talk to him but me. Also I was waiting on a delayed flight at the Monroe airport with Phil and Jase, everyone else was giving them the stink eye because of the way they were dressed. I was probably the only one there that knew who they were. We talked a bit of duck hunting before the flight was officially cancelled.

I saw Willy and Phil in the airport after DD started and they still acted normal Willy was talking to anyone that stopped to say hello. He and Phil took a picture with my son because he loved the show.

I've talked with Godwin several times, he spoke at a high school fishing banquet we held, for free. Never heard a bad thing about him.

Apparently there is some serious duck dynasty fans on this website

It’s not really about Duck Dynasty at all for me. We’ve created a culture, especially with the rise of wokism, where we don’t leave people room for redemption. It’s unhealthy. If a man has been decent and tried to be good for society for 30 years, that’s who he is now. It’s not like Phil hid who he once was.
