We went to dinner, our high school football jamboree, and a movie afterwards. We were 15/16 and juniors in high school. Still going strong 29 years later...

We were set up through a mutual friend when I was living in Thailand. I met her at a restaurant called MK Gold in Phuket, Thailand. It was a higher end version of a standard suki restaurant. This is suki:
"Suki was first introduced to Thai consumers more than three decades ago. While the name suki might sound Japanese – and most people might assume it is a variation of Japanese shabu shabu – suki is actually a twist on a Chinese steamboat dish. But it is uniquely Thai."
Anyway, her English was not the best but I mostly remember how sweet she was. She would serve me the suki from the bowl and helped me figure out how to cook and eat it. Not much was said, but I knew she was special....
That was almost 9 years ago. Now living happily in Boise, ID.
If you guys ever get sick of US women, head to Thailand but just watch out for the gold diggers (and most of them are gold diggers...)

I have an old friend who resorted to this. Those women steal him blind.

Dinner at a seafood restaurant in Dallas. I misread her signals and suggested we go to my hotel and do the nasty. She got pissed off at me. I thought that was the end of any relationship with her, but as we left the restaurant, she asked me out for the next night. We married almost exactly two years later.

This thread is bringing back some tough memories. Found out my best baw from Bossier died last week. Dude was all city/region baseball and honorable mention all State. Played for Centenary.
He was a big help for me when I was dating my first wife and best man at my wedding..

We started dating in HS so the first thing that would qualify as a “date” would probably be dinner at Taco Bell then driving around aimlessly and just talking.

Texas roadhouse for about 3 hours and Walk Ons for 2 hours. That was April 17th 2021. We had a great time and been together ever since.

Took her to Boure' in Oxford and we went back to her apartment and streamed Love Actually. Didn't bang. She held out another couple dates. Been together 11 years now.

sorry to hear that man, I guess we’re getting to the age where that’s becoming a common occurrence, that part of getting older sucks a big one

Yeah, he was the "Sam Malone" before Sam Malone on Cheers. Never thought he would go before me...

I'll tell you about my bitch of an ex wife. We met on a dating site, went have dinner and then ice cream after. Never heard back so I moved on. She came crawling back about 6 months later so I gave it another shot.
Come to find out, she had another date the next night and the dude lived 2+ hours further than I did from her(30 minutes). Like, you had to drive through my city to get to his. He was fat(still is), had no job and lived in a run down trailer. For six months, she went to his house every weekend. He had to have been knocking the bottom out of her.
