I am not really a conspiracy theorist, but I do think there are people with money and power who work to keep the country divided.
For example, 2016 election year. The whole black life matters thing all of a sudden becomes more of an issue. As soon as the election is over.. It suddenly fizzles away.
It benefits both sides.. Because both sides need to get people to the polls. To get them to the polls you have to sell fear and make people feel like the results would truly impact them.
Its bad for business if people are not strongly divided over something.

I firmly believe that the big TV media outlets (CBS, NBC, CNN) conspired in 2007 to have John McCain surge as the Republican primary winner. It came out of nowhere and made absolutely no sense
