The actual color of the dress isn't COMPLETELY irrelevant but it doesn't prove what color the dress in the picture is. For example, sometimes when you take a picture, your eyes appear red in the photo, even if they are brown. Does that mean I'm wrong for saying your eyes are red in the picture? No. In that picture, they are red.

Bad analogy unless some people see the eyes as their true color.

Nobody is arguing that people are seeing gold and white. They are simply saying that just because your brain says the pic shows gold and white, doesn't mean some people's eyes see the correct color of the dress.

When I see the question: What color is the dress?

I give the color of what I think the dress is, not what exact shade I see in the picture do to shitty camera/flash.

in real life its black and blue. In the picture its not. There is a huge difference.
Yep. We put the picture into our photo reader(which is high tech as shite, I work for the 2nd biggest media/ad company in America) and it spit out gold as the lace color. Let the controversy continue

In this scenario, I would consider my actual eye color irrelevant.

Apparently it is actually white and gold but people see it black and blue just because of their mood at the particular time of viewing.

You clearly don't understand if think anyone is arguing with the exact shade in the photo.

The question is: "What color is the dress?"

Answer....Black and Blue.

it actually has a lot to do with the size of the visual cortex in the brain. If its smaller you are more susceptible to seeing black
