I like vodka/tonic in the hot months.

Whiskey or whiskey drinks in the cold months.

Those are my classy drinks.

Beer is year round.

Agree with the Manatten. Nothing better. Old Fashion and Sazerac are a distant second

Martini *
Bourbon - neat or on the rocks. Bourbon & Coke ain't classy but I like it!

Those are my top three in no particular order.

* Martinis are made with gin. A Vodka Martini is bland and should not even be called a Martini. And tossing all manner of alcoholic concoctions into a cocktail glass and calling it a "Martini" pisses me off. Chocolate Martini, Pomegranate Martini, Cranberry Martini, Espresso Martini; they are all nice cocktails but they need their own frickin name. Now, get off my lawn....

unless it's filled with a bunch of muddled fruit. An old fashioned should not be filled with fruit.

Also, it has to have vermouth, and the bartender better not be shaking that gin. I can't tell you how many times (even in decent bars) when I ask for a (whatever gin) martini, the bartender will pour only gin into a shaker and start shaking it. It's like I'm living with heathens.

If you are a man and must have a cocktail... an Old Fashioned is the only answer.

Classiest?

Vesper, gin Martini, Manhattan, Old Fashioned

And I don't care what people say, Sazeracs are terrible and Dark and Stormies are the shite.

Anything can be a martini if you put it in that special martini cup. Some times I don't feel like getting tipsy so I'll just order a Shirley Temple-tini so I don't have to taste the alcohol but I still look cool.
