Sharp Dressed Man

Eta: classic prep is different then link, basically angostura bitters, orange bitters, simple syrup, penny packer bourbon. 1 large ice cube. Smooth af whisky drink and I don't even like bitters.

Anything with Red Bull in it is a drink for pansies. Did you know the heir to Red Bull killed a cop in Thailand and got away with it? Don't drink that shite and make that piece of shite richer.

Vesper

One of my favorites.

JB 007 would be proud, but it must be made correctly...

quote:

Three measures of Gordon's, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it's ice-cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon peel.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to drink an authentic Vesper. Kina Lillet, the aromatized wine that gives the Vesper its distinct, bitter edge, no longer exists.

Sazerac
Manhattan
Negroni

Or if you want to get fancy, order a margarita with mezcal instead. Much better.

This. I always start off my nice restaurant meals with a sazerac or old fashioned.
