Case, only one I’ve ever had.

I have a couple of >20 yr old 1st gen Spyderco Ladybugs. I have a few pocket knives but the only one I've ever truly EDC'd was the Ladybug. I'm only interested in carrying a locking knife, and these have been rock solid for a generation. If anyone can point to any similarly sized (less than 2" blade) locking knives, I'd love to see what else is out there.

Kershaw Scallion. Just about perfect for EDC.

quote:You need to check out Great Eastern Cutlery. They are the better version of Case. They are made in the USA and they put out high quality production traditional pocket knives. Their blade steel is better and the fit and finish is so much better than what Case puts out and comparable to custom knives. They also hold their value and can be sold for double the price on the 2ndary market, although you can also find some great deals too but they are harder to come by.
Case. I've lost it a couple of times but it always comes back.
These knives usually sell out within mins, literally. I have not even come close to being able to buy one but this is my dream knife to get from them.
Here is a different one they make, and I love the antique look to it
I was real big into modern folding/flipper knives but they are just so damn big in your pocket, which is why I went back to the traditional's. I do have some Spyderco knives but I don't really carry them much anymore.
Here are some of my actual knives by GEC:
Here are some made by Schatt and Morgan(recently went out of business):

Carried an Uncle Henry all my life. The USA made ones. Cheap China knockoff now by Taylor. Great Grandfather used to say, “you take care of Uncle Henry and Uncle Henry will take care of you” while putting an edge on his. He was a man among men during his time.

Same here as to the Spyderco Native 5.
So lightweight I forget it's clipped on my pocket.
