What kind of beach gear do people use? What stuff is horrible? What stuff is your favorite item? (Ideas for kids under 6 a plus)

Shade: beach umbrella, tailgate tent, beach tent?
Towels: big beach blanket, only beach towels, microfiber towels?
Refreshments: shoulder ice chest, rolling ice chest, koozies?
Extras: bags, wagons, inflatables, beach toys?

I know the most obvious answer is using my Yeti koozie, from my Yeti ice chest (obviously precooled), using the Yeti packaging to lay on, while the kids play with the Yeti stickers.

ETA: For all those saying it's not difficult, duh! The issue comes with being able to keep two young pale kids from burning or getting heat exhaustion, wanting to go in to get a snack every 5 minutes, and busy enough to leave me alone.

TOmmy Bahama beach cart with 2 tommy Bahamas chairs.

Cool cabanas tent with big beach rug underneath

Rtic soft cooler

It has a deep basket where you can pack in all the kids toys.

I can pack so much crap in there and only make one trip, takes about 5 minutes for me to set up/break down

I’m too lazy to link to the gear or post pics... google it

Tent might be a nightmare baw depending on the beach rules.

My favorite item is to get a house/condo/hotel that's so close to the beach that they can go back and forth. Then you just down there with chairs, towels, radio and ice chests.

Primarily my feet, to walk back to the condo after I get bored sitting on the beach after 30 minutes.

Seriously though, for kids under 6 a bucket and a shovel and a net to catch crap out of the water.

I wouldn’t cut kids under 6 loose in the ocean with an inflatable if I just wanted to sit on the beach and be left alone, but that’s just me.

Pop up sun shelter for the kids.

Toss some sand in it, and let them play while you get your drink on.

Vanderbilt Beach in Naples, FL is 100 steps from my backdoor and Icalways have to laugh when I see people carrying half of their belongings to the beach for a day.
