What are your thoughts on pugs.

Wanna get a dog but live in an apartment. Was looking it up and supposedly pugs are the best apartment dogs from everything I read. Only issue is I’m away for 12 hours at a time. Will any dog people to last?

doesn't matter what kind of dog it is, Pug or mutt, don't leave a dog home alone for 12 hrs at a time alone in an apartment. Just don't get one. Go visit someone with one. You have to be very self-centered to even consider this.

Our last dog was a pug and it was, far and away, my favorite dog we've ever owned. They shed like a mofo but they're hilarious, lazy, and loving.
But, as everyone else has said, 12 hours alone isn't cool. No dog would like that.

Hire a dog walker or bring them to play date when you’re at work. Kenneling a dog for 12 hrs is not cool and if you live in an apt complex your neighbors may hate you.

That’s what everyone I know does. I am a primary caretaker and not owner of another dog (family dog in another household a few blocks away) but it isn’t mine. Their dog is much more high energy
