You cannot give the dog the life it deserves on that schedule

They are the 4 legged furry version of the Cicada.

Wanna get a dog but live in an apartment. Was looking it up and supposedly pugs are the best apartment dogs from everything I read. Only issue is I’m away for 12 hours at a time.

A pug's not what you want. The breed you're looking for is a cat.

I think they should all be rounded up and gassed in a locked facility. Load by load.

If I were to buy a smooshed face dog it would be a Boston Terrier.

Pugs have really cool personalities but they put off a weird, funky musk that I can’t deal with. Funny dogs to be around, though.

Get a Roomba & pet medical insurance. Those suckers shed tiny hair everywhere & have all kinds of breathing/nasal problems.

You can also volunteer at the local shelter.
Most will allow you to walk and play with the dogs.
12 hours is a long time to leave them alone.
Two of the dogs I currently have were for your reason. They were left alone and had little interaction with the owner. One hated the original owner and was always mean. He is the best dog I have because he now has attention.

Meh... I don't really like anything in my butt. That is more her thing. Once she gets revved up, she loves it.

Getting a new dog and leaving it alone in your apartment for 12 hours. Great plan

All just because he wants something to post about for attention on Instagram/Facebook. He’ll probably even make the dog it’s own social media account and call himself his dog’s favorite huuuman when he posts from his animal’s account

I nailed it and the OP knows it

Pugs aren’t real dogs. Get a real dog. But, not to lock up for 12 hours a day.

That's kind a big issue, especially with a puppy

I have known owners of Pugs and they love them dearly. They are nice little dogs and have a nice disposition. You can't go wrong with that choice.
