And you think every restaurant you've walked into was shimmering and spotless in the food prep area?

There is a taco truck down the street from my house that's incredible. I got their burrito a few days ago and it was one of the most delicious burritos I've ever eaten.

A lot of them are indeed overpriced, but I've had some incredible food from food trucks.

If you are getting shredded beef instead of spicy barbacoa then you local taco truck sucks.

Barbacoa, salsa, black beans, cheese, cheese dip, jalapenos, and Mexican crema sauce is a blessing from God. I do usually prefer California Carne asada burritos tho.

I've eaten at several Mexican places here and the food is always colorful to look at but tastes bland. The same goes for Terriyaki/stir fry...which seems like it would be really hard to screw up.

Yeah that's a shame. My city has food truck Thursdays at a park downtown. Multiple food trucks within walking distance of a few thousand employees. The ones that sucked were quickly replaced by others. The crappy ones no one went to and that worked itself out. It was capitalism at its finest and eventually all of them were delicious.

The best taco truck is right down the road from me next to Mexican owned gas station. It has been a thing for at least 10 years. There wasn't really any other trucks at that time and they were killing it. People would drive 20 minutes from downtown to get tacos.

On a positive note, I found great BBQ on a food truck here. A lot of locals had suggested a place called Corky's that, honest to God, was worse than anything you'd get from a plastic tub in a grocery store. The sauce tasted like pure liquid smoke.

My brother took me to a truck called Curb B Q that has really good pulled pork. It'd be great to find a good Mexican place, though.

As long as you don't look into the sanitary conditions, they're fine.

I also know some places that have both a brick and mortar and a food truck.

I avoid food trucks like the plague.

They’re probably the best way to spread the plague

I think the last time I got anything from one of them was at a MG parade a few years ago and instantly regretted it.

There was a food truck that parked regularly across the street from my Warehouse District condo (#humblebrag) a couple years ago, i think it was wing-themed, but they had this one thing called ‘Tackle Fries’ that was like a big mess of French fries with cheese, sour cream, hot wing sauce, chicken and some other stuff.. probably the best thing ive ever had from a food truck, and you can bet my arse was there every Wednesday night.

I don't hate them, but I do object at least mildly to any form of for-profit food service without a dining room, or at least a bathroom. Lack of adequate parking also rankles me, and I don't willingly use drive-throughs. Just seems like they're getting away with something.

You want $20 for wings? At least get a table and a commode. No I will not use my car to sub for the waiter you didn't hire.

Food trucks are like restaurants.

Some are great. Some suck. Some are clean. Some are nasty.
