I've been without a grill for a couple of years but treating myself to a Father's Day gift so I can grill tomorrow. What do you recommend. I prefer a grill/smoker combo.

I got a pit boss Austin XL with open flame. I enjoy doing both on. I got 5 racks of ribs on it at 200 degrees right now. 7 hours and they will fall off bone.

In honor of the Mexican Americans who have served, I’m doing fajitas.
That and I have marinated fajita meat from Valdez Market that I need to cook.

I just bought the Weber Q3200 about a week ago. I had one a few years back but it got damaged in a move to our house. It was my favorite grill I ever had so I wanted to replace it.

I also have a Traeger smoker, but I don’t think I’m using it tomorrow.

Just got done trimming and rubbing an 8 lb pork butt...on the old offset smoker at 7am , hickory and apple mix, for an estimated 5pm chow...smoked baked beans, grilled asparagus and some cole slaw.

Did some silly stuff today on the smoker. Smoked some cream cheese, Cheese-It’s, and found a recipe for hot dog “burnt ends” all turned out tasty

Also smoked about 2 dozen wings

I am going to run out early and catch a mackerel or two to smoke on the egg for a dip to take to a shindig.

Coffee rubbed hanger steak on the egg. Asparagus, corn on the cob. Doesn’t get much better.

100% separate is the way to go.

Can get both going at the same time to cook your full meal outside.

Tomorrow we're grilling some steaks off the cow we butchered a couple weeks ago.
