Wal Mart has destroyed countless family businesses and consequently customer service is now practically extinct in the retail sector. Wal mart is awful.

Asked for help and was told to check the hardware section

At least they recommended a section that was actually part of the store.

Feel yourself lucky.

worst things about Walmart?

The trashy people, which includes the majority of their
customers & employees. I havent been in a walmart in 5-6 years,
but I can only imagine that it's even worse. Never ever bought groceries there. Thankfully, we have other options: Target, Amazon...

If we good do a magic formula, it would be cool to count up on any given day how many dirty diapers and fast food bags are sitting in a Walmart parking lot

Just discovered Walmart.com

Its free delivery with a 40.00 purchase.

If you aren't in a hurry for something, it works great. And you don't have to deal with the "employees".

Yet, after all your bitching, you still went there. Who is the worst, the worst or those that frequent the worst and won’t shut up about it?

Is this what we're complaining about now? I realize this isn't the first time but you'd think after the 10th time, some guilt would kick in.

Life is so easy for us that it seems most are severely taking it for granted.

I hate to be that guy who preaches but y'all need perspective.

This thread makes me sad.

The overall stench and pure nastiness of the place.

The one on college drive in BR literally smells like sewage on random days.

It's actually pretty impressive

Lol no.

Wal Mart took what they did and did it better.

Every solid family store in my hometown still thrives with Walmart. They also saved Americans billions of dollars on groceries, dollars that were spent on other things instead.

Horse shite. Walmart offered a better price and wider selection than “family businesses” ever could. Consumers killed family businesses by choosing Walmart over mom & pop.

I’m not crazy about certain aspects of Walmart either. But when you need basic shite, they’re tough to beat.
If I want quality merchandise, I go to
Mom&pop or “niche” markets. Customer service got sacrificed for a better price. But that shite is consumer driven as well.
If family businesses wouldn’t price themselves out of the market, they’d still be there.

They have the slowest employees on earth, crowded aisles, cluttered aisles, trashiest customers ever,
I remember when that was what was said about Kmart and Walmart was thought of as the brighter, cleaner store, sort of like Target now.

Kmart

I can’t remember when I was last inside a KMart. But I can remember that it made me very depressed, I evaluated every flaw of my life in that 15 min, and I wanted to kill myself for the decisions that led to me ending up inside a Kmart.

They must have been selling shite product because if you're into something Walmart isn't going to have a decent version of it. The sports equipment at Walmart is shite. The bikes, skateboards, shoes, etc. are garbage. If you're into photography, you're not going to walmart you're going to Bennett's. If you're into real stereo systems, you're not going to Walmart, you're going to Wilson Audio.

I honestly haven’t stepped foot in a Wal Mart in three years. It’s not because I think I’m above it and it’s not because I don’t like saving money. It’s because I can’t put up with all the bullshite you described. I get so angry in that place it’s a health hazard for me.

A big factor in the Walmart experience is when you go. Early morning is usually better, with Sunday being the best. You’ll see mostly families in church attire and those folks are polite. I love my local Walmart for commodity items like paper towels, soap, etc. I buy produce and meat at the Sprouts down the street or the local Market Street. My local Walmart has two self checkout areas with about 8 stations each and a few lanes dedicated to self checkout of larger volumes.

People, especially trashy people, don’t drive past a few WalMarts to shop at the one by you. Those trashy people represent your neighborhood; those are your peers. Maybe it’s time for you to move to a little nicer neighborhood.
