Do these problems with the 6.2 apply to the 26?

Probably around 15k but it'll last unlike the garbage they're putting out.

L84 5.3L for most people.
LZ0 diesel if you have a lot of windshield time
Not sure I’d get the L87 6.2L. They have issues and are being recalled.
We have 2 GM full sized SUVs. A 2023 and a 2025. Both have the L84 V8. Both have been very reliable and we like both of them a lot. We have a lot of short trips mixed in with the longer highway drives so the diesel wasn’t really logical for us. Love the Gas V8

Seriously, get her in a 2020-2023 Lexus GX and let her drive that thing for 500,000 miles. My wife and daughter have 2021 GX's and they are bulletproof. Best vehicle on the road currently

Statistically speaking the 3.0 Duramax in recent years is the longest lasting and least repaired engine.
Ask any GM certified tech how good that engine is. Their absolute POS. Blown at 40, 50, 60K miles. Plastic intakes.
Avoid at all costs.

I'd 100% buy a GX with 60k mikes over a brand new piece of shite chevy/gm.
You can do all the deletes you want to 'improve' reliability but youre voiding the warranty.
Theyre just junk. Full stop

We have a 2025 GX…..good car so far. First time I’ve ever purchased a Lexus.

I have an older 2018 Tahoe with the 5.3 and 6 speed transmission. About to hit 140k miles with no issues at all. Been a great vehicle and taken it on many long road trips with the fam. I take really good care of it.
The newer ones with the 10 speed scare me and I’ll probably just keep mine for a while. I have thought about just trading it in and getting a 21 LX570 with the old Toyota V8. Those are true indestructible beasts.
We are trading in my wife’s mid size SUV in the next couple months for a Honda odyssey as we are having baby #2 and she’s excited. Sliding doors with young kids is nice and easier unloading/loading with plenty of room

Ok? What caused it? I can show you the same for literally any current major SUV producer.
A GM tech spends his day looking at broken GM shite. Go ask a Ford tech, they will tell you the same about Ford shite.

Avoid GM and buy a Ford.

Correct but locking up is exactly what it will do when the FPCM, Fuel Pump Control Module goes out. No warning, no spit, sputter, or limp to the side of the road, where you are when it decides to crater is where you’ll be until a flat bed tow truck comes to get you, GM is having a few hundred a month go bad, just pray you’re not on an 80 mph interstate or pulling into traffic from a side street, that particular part failure will be the cause of death for some vehicle drivers no doubt.

As a ex lifelong GM fan, stay away.
If you must get the 3.0. All the gas motors outside of the 6.6 have been shite for over a decade now.

Just here to say. Have 23 Yukon Denali with 6.2. 70,000+ miles and no issues.
There are very few full sized that come close to the comfort and features. Especially with SuperCruise.
No regrets.
