What are dumb things that dumbs dogs do?

I hear people talk about certain breeds of dogs being smart (eg, poodles), but what specifically makes them smart?

Great thread, though.

My daughters dumbass shihpoo needs to be hand-fed the first couple pieces of food, then it will eat the rest.

I've always read that if you flip your dog a treat, and he doesn't come close to reacting and catching it in his mouth, he's dumb. True story.

Yes, I killed them so that I could enjoy my life with my GF's 2 mentally retarded animals who duck and get smacked in the head by the treat I toss them.

You have to wipe bulldogs butts when they're puppies.

my dog once got into my adderall, a bag of halloween candy, ate an entire pizza. She is 10 years old in December and healthy as hell.

We have a glass storm door and a few weeks ago our lab mix ran full speed into it. She hit it so hard that it jammed shut and we had to pry it back open. Now she is so freaked out by it that she won't come in the front door at all even when we are walking in and out to show her the glass door is actually open. She will still go out the door but absolutely refuses to come in the front door now.

I think it in large part has to do with the ability to recall a large number of unique commands or understand a certain number of unique sounds and the expected reaction. A very smart, yet poorly or untrained dog will probably seem dumb because it would probably be hyperactive.

Any dog can be smart and even a GSD can be dumb but its more of a rule of thumb that certain breeds have been inbred or whatever the deal is where they are generally only able to recall a small number of unique commands.
