People that think I should be upset about low gas prices can kiss my arse.

I just got a promotion. I think people who are good at their jobs don't have problems finding work. Just saying.

If you support gas being a higher price then frick you. People who wish gas was more expensive are pieces of shite.

Nothing like a friend of mine taking the entire deer season off and posting pics of deer while us slugs work all the time to make ends meet.

Now he's crying about oil prices.

My response to his post had nothing to do with him talking about cheap gas. My post was directed at his complete lack of empathy.

Although I've been anxious for my job for over a year now, I would be lying if I said I didn't like cheap gas.

This oil crisis is way beyond just people in the O&G business losing their jobs. It's hurting entire economies.

So frick everyone who makes all the truck nut jokes and pokes fun at anyone who works in the oil field.

Was anyone making fun of people losing their houses during the housing crash? I don't think so.

So everyone needs to back the frick off.

People who hope for cheap gas are living out of their means.

Where are all of the price cuts in everything else that all you bitches were claiming would come with cheap oil prices?

LOL at all of you living with your heads in the sand.

eta - only one down vote? the OT can do better than that.

You don't know work until you sling a pipe wrench. Time off like that is well deserved.

Oh and in response to the OP....whatever floats their boat. It's probably people attention whoring. Sending shite like that around facebook won't help a damn thing except air out your laundry.

How real is the struggle when they can now afford to fill up their jacked-up Ford F350 with leather interior.

If it weren't for oil we'd be living in the stone age.

It's easy for everyone to take it for granted.

What? And the guy making 125K per year with a 50K truck note, over bought on his house and has a boat, 4 wheeler and a hunting lease isn't? He can do that at 3.00 a gallon, not 1.60.

Tons of white collar folks who don't make the 'oilfield cash' are getting cut too. Not just the baws.

I prefer to send this type of prayer to Joe Pesci. Same 50/50 result.

I said people who "hope for" not people who "like" cheap gas prices. There's a difference.

You know since gas prices have been anywhere from 3-5 dollars for a long time now, it seems like people can budget their lives and not bitch about the price of gas.

Much needed prayers...the oil industry is really bad now. Don't know what is going to happen and my heart goes out to co-workers and friends that have been laid off already. I'm so sick to my stomach not knowing what will happen...prayers to everyone.
All prayers needed right now. If I don't see your name, I'll understand. May I ask my family and friends wherever you might be, to kindly copy and paste this status for one hour to give a moment of support to all of those who have family problems, health struggles, job issues, worries of any kind and just needs to know that someone cares? Do it for all of us, for nobody is immune. I hope to see this on the walls of all my family and friends just for moral support. I know some will!!! I did it for a friend and you can too. You have to copy and paste this one, NO SHARING. Thanks in advance. Struggle Is Real!!

As someone who is a do-er and doesn't sit on their arse waiting for good things to happen, can I get a translation of this bullshite?

quote:

It's easy for everyone to take it for granted.

People with a brain realize that most folks working in the oilfields aren't doing it for the good of humanity. On top of that, very few of them have special skills. They are highly replaceable as seen right now. Should I get on my knees and pray to the oilfield workers and give thanks for the goods they provide? These arguments are getting ridiculous.

To me it seems like the people who take on this profession are the ones taking things for granted such as their salaries. If they did 5 minutes of unbiased research and came to an understanding of why they make good salaries in the first place, which is largely based on location and volatility of the industry, they might be better prepared when shite hits the fan. But ask people to fricking pray on Facebook.
