What are the OT's thoughts on the oil industry prayer going around on FB?

In case you haven't seen it:

Much needed prayers...the oil industry is really bad now. Don't know what is going to happen and my heart goes out to co-workers and friends that have been laid off already. I'm so sick to my stomach not knowing what will happen...prayers to everyone.
All prayers needed right now. If I don't see your name, I'll understand. May I ask my family and friends wherever you might be, to kindly copy and paste this status for one hour to give a moment of support to all of those who have family problems, health struggles, job issues, worries of any kind and just needs to know that someone cares? Do it for all of us, for nobody is immune. I hope to see this on the walls of all my family and friends just for moral support. I know some will!!! I did it for a friend and you can too. You have to copy and paste this one, NO SHARING. Thanks in advance. Struggle Is Real!!

This is just Yahweh's way of punishing those that poison the Earth.

Would rather pay $25 for a full tank instead of $60+ so some guy can buy an extra vehicle he doesn't need.
Most should have saved their oilfield money instead of blowing it every other 2 weeks.

While IMO Facebook and people that use it religiously are pathetic attention whores, I'm pretty sure that's not the point of it, genius.

I hate to see people struggling and it makes no difference their lifestyle or occupation

It's pretty common for Christians to do this sort of thing on Facebook. I take requests for prayers seriously, but unfortunately I think the majority of this type of stuff is for attention (like everything is on FB).

Dear oil trash,
We get it already - there's nothing we can do about it except enjoy $1.45/gal gas. Quit whining.
Hugs and kisses,
Horsemeat.

Elais, Greek goddess of oil.
They meant olive oil, but frick it, it might work.

Man people on here get mighty rustled by anything involving the oilfield.

I have friends and family that work in the oil field. I make the same amount of money that I did before the downturn so I'm glad that gas is cheaper
