They are pasta pockets, not sandwiches.

In fairness, you're better off having homemade pierogies then getting them from a restaurant. That's how my family was introduced to them. My Polish aunt made them from scratch.

He's probably thinking Primanti's, which is basically something you do once to say you did it.

Might look better to someone who hasn't experienced po-boys.

There's also a big difference between good city to visit and a good city to live. Some places are in one category but not the other.

New Orleans is great to visit but a bad place to live.

I think that's Nashville, as well, even more so than New Orleans.

You can handle the overcrowding, traffic, and high prices for a drunken weekend of fun.

Less fun to do so every day of your life.

Overrated = Denver.
Even their “Michelin three” were disappointing places to eat.
The area around Denver (Golden etc.) is nice to visit. Denver - not really.

Underrated = Boston
The Italian food scene there was pretty impressive imho. Lots of stuff to do nearby (JFK’s presidential library was awesome).

Others to consider for being underrated:
Omaha
Charleston
Chattanooga
Portland, Maine

This is the case.

My apologies.

Everyone else lives in a bubble, but you’re the only enlightened one.

I tried it once and it was decent, nothing special.

I had the benefit of being around a bunch of locals every time I went to Pittsburgh so they took me to some solid places that probably aren't really frequented by tourists.

They also gave me a list of recommendations to check out in the evenings. I had some good food in Pittsburgh. It's just been 15 years since I've been and I don't remember any of the names

ETA - they have some weird arse alcohol laws for a dude from South Louisiana though

Yeah, Denver is close to the mountains. That’s about the only good thing I can think of

You can also visit both of the Cheers bars, Fenway, the old Braves Field, and the Freedom Trail.

Bay Area - Marin Cty down to Monterrey is awesome.

I like Pittsburgh except for cold winters and lack of warm people.

Overated:: Houston. Too much concrete, way too much traffic,

Underrated: Seattle. If you can handle the weather, it’s just beautiful everywhere. They love their sports teams. IF you can afford it….

Milwaukee is underrated. I was there once during the winter and still had a good time.
I'm a regular visitor there, but Milwaukee has certainly had its share of visitors. The French missionaries and explorers were going there as early as the late 1600s to trade with the Native Americans. It's actually pronounced 'mill-e-wah-que', which is Algonquin for 'the good land.'
