What are the main things that humans go to war and kill other humans over?

Number one has got to be land, right? There is only so much of it to go around. Land is power. Just ask Russia.
Religion might be a close second. Millions have died in the name of a god.
Tribalism is related to land and religion, but might be its own thing. Look at all these shitty tribes in Africa who literally set out to slaughter every man, woman and child from another tribe. They aren’t really trying to conquer land or impose their religion. They just hate each other’s guts.
The whole Israel thing seems like all three.
I guess humanity will never rise above the basic desire to make war. What do I know. I am strung out on opioids right now.

Natural resources is high on the list. For the US, just because we can. When you invest one trillion per year into something you have to justify the expense. Humans are sophisticated apes with advanced technology. We aren’t any more evolved than cavemen.
