I gont get paid by the hour until I hit overtime. Its either a trip rate or a yard basic day based off of the job you are working that day. I think a basic day is around $260 and thats with a 7 hour early quit. Go over 8 hours and its time and a half. Holidays are even more

Those engineering salaries look low. I work in project controls and make less an hour compared to engineers but make more than what they list for all of those engineering jobs.
And plant operators definitely make over $100k in all of the 4 plants I worked in. Especially when you add in benefits.

That’s just not true. I work in a plant and we have many operators who don’t make 6 figures. I’m an engineer and we also have operators who make much more than I do. Long story short...hourly operators don’t have much to brag about, but some of them work a ton and make a ton. Now the hourly operator supervisors at my plant make huge money. Much more than the salaried operator supervisors.

The data is out there. So many myths about salaries. Why not just look at the hard numbers? Of course there will be some outliers in every profession that make more than the average.
