I’ve been watching a lot of short documentaries on Histories of various Americans companies. Pretty interesting stuff. A common theme is many of these businesses Succeed and expand And either extend beyond their means and fail and collapse or they make some sort of critical error/change to their model that doesn’t pan out or they refuse to change/adapt and fail.

What are some businesses that have been able to survive a long time without having to really expand or having to change their business model up too much and stay around without struggling to the point of collapse?

Government. Government never has to adapt, economize, or worry about competition.

Most companies must change in order to survive. Very few business models exist unchanged due to technology.

Maybe, MAYBE, breweries, distilleries, or wine makers, but even then their business model has certainly changed

None, even classics like coca cola have had to make big changes to at least their product. Diet, caffeine free, other expanded product lines. Thats before we even get into corporate structure or distribution

Are you meaning shipment from breweries, distilleries, wine makers, directly to consumers? I thought that had been around for a while with wine/wisely/beer clubs

Ford and GM have been making cars for over 100 years and they got free money they didnt need in a bailout and have paid it back with interest and make billions per year.

They have been paying dividends consistently for essentially all of the last 100 years

They make millions of cars

And Tesla is "worth more".

Procter and Gamble and Johnson and Johnson stand out as just maybe the most solid companies in the world.

If you are asking large corporations.
