re: What are some ways you see white privilege in everyday life?

When I go to my grandkids college graduation which I really do not want to attend which runs smoothly. I did not see African American people dancing on the stage to make something that is a waste of time last even longer.

When I drive down my street and I do not hear rap music blaring, gun shots, garbage thrown everywhere, two or three drug deals, or pit bulls running loose.

No. I was just ready to get the hell out of there. I act like I've been there before because I have.

I have to white privileged every week for about 50 hours while a bunch of scumbags insist that I don't earn what I have.

I also do not see my neighborhood empty of African American males on father’s day. The people in my neighborhood take responsibility for their kids and do not leave town on father’s day.

Yup....people only see the end result. They don't see somebody eating ramen noodles for weeks so tuition is paid or staying up a few nights straight because it's finals week and they couldn't take off of either of their jobs. I only have one job now with regular hours and 40 hour weeks but damn...it was tough getting here.

I am able to purchase pants that fit, so I don’t have to hold them up when I walk or have people see my underwear.
