re: What are some ways you see white privilege in everyday life?

My white privilege allows me to raise my kids and take my arse to work everyday. Next stupid question.

My kids wake up to a Mom and Dad in their home each morning.

When I make my next rank in the Navy because a certain percentage of white people have to make rank even if I'm not more qualified than another sailor up for the same rank.

When you are raised by a single parent that cannot afford to send you to college so you spend the next 30 years of your life struggling to raise a family of 5 while working blue collar jobs. Suffering through frustration due to the lack of opportunity because you don't have said college degree. You decide enough is enough and take the big step going back to school and earn a business degree, improve your place in life by moving from a position just above entry level to a directors role and an appropriate salary to go with said position. I'm being told it happened because of white privilege. Not sure I know what that is.

I’ll basically get into whichever state university I want based on my whiteness, even for having minimal acceptance criteria simply because the university must have a certain amount of white people. I’ll even get a ton of money from the state in the form of racial grants because of my whiteness, even though members of other races had better test scores and academic performance than me.
