Lately, all of "Like a Rock." But especially.. "Twenty years now... where'd they go? Twenty years now, I don't know, I sit and I wonder sometimes where they've gone..."
I’m 30 now and while that 20 years part hasn’t caught me just yet; having an almost 4 year old and almost 2 year old, I feel it.
I wish it would all just slow tf down. I love the age we’re all at right now in my family. Just took my daughter to the Texas State fair today and brought her on her first Ferris wheel ride. The excitement she had while on that ride is something I hope to never forget.
And the best thing, I was excited for her to be on that ride.
High school thru post-college ages are great fun, to be sure. But there’s something about seeing your children’s excitement about life that breathes life itself into you. I know that it’s our job to help them grow into adults. But damn when they’re the age mine are it’s very difficult to not want time to just stop for a while.

It was always a catchy tune, but Bob Seger's "Against the Wind" will almost make me tear up now
Literally anything Seger these days.
Night Moves, Like a Rock, Against the Wind.
His shite is timeless and incredible

"In the Ghetto" by Elvis. 65 year old song that is still true today.

Dance, then, wherever you may be,
I am the Lord of the dance, said he,
And I'll lead you all, wherever you may be,
And I'll lead you all in the dance, said he.
This was always hard to do a box Waltz to but it was extra hard to understand dancing as railroad spikes were being hammered through you. Torture.

Road to Nowhere by Ozzy
I was looking back on my life
And all the things I've done to me
I'm still looking for the answers
I'm still searching for the key
The wreckage of my past keeps haunting me
It just won't leave me alone
I still find it all a mystery
Could it be a dream?
The road to nowhere leads to me
Through all the happiness and sorrow
I guess I'd do it all again
Live for today and not tomorrow
It's still the road that never ends
The wreckage of my past keeps haunting me
It just won't leave me alone
I still find it all a mystery
Could it be a dream?
The road to nowhere leads to me
I was looking back on my life
And all the things I've done to me
I'm still looking for the answers
I'm still searching for the key
The wreckage of my past keeps haunting me
It just won't leave me alone
I still find it all a mystery
Could it be a dream?
The road to nowhere leads to me
Through all the happiness and sorrow
I guess I'd do it all again
Live for today and not tomorrow
It's still the road that never ends
The wreckage of my past keeps haunting me
It just won't leave me alone
I still find it all a mystery
Could it be a dream?
The road to nowhere leads to me

They absolutely suck from 14-22(graduation from college). All they want is money or to fix their car.
I was speaking more about in your own personal life, not the lives of your children. Those ages are a whole lot of fun personally. But I wouldn’t trade those for this at all. There are times in which I’d love to be back at that age, but that age pales in comparison to the joy that children bring.
Also, i dont think my parents absolutely hated raising us when we were 14-22. It’s just a different stage. Bigger kid bigger problem type of thing.

America spells competition
Join us in our blind ambition
Get yourself a brand new motor car
Someday soon we'll stop to ponder what on earth's this spell we're under
We made the grade and still we wonder
who the hell we are

Stop, drop, KABOOM!, baby rub on ya nipples
Some call me Ludacris, some call me Mr. Wiggles
Far from little, make ya mammary glands giggle
Got 'em under control, the bowl of tender biddles
Doc-tor giggles, I can't stop until it tickles
Just play a little D and I'll make ya mouth dribble
Bits and Kibbles, got 'em all after the pickle
I swing it like a bat, but these balls are not whiffle
Hit 'em in triples, wit no strikes, stripes, or whistles
I ain't felt this good, since my wood lived off a thistle
Sippin' some ripple, I got quarters, dimes, and nickels
For shizzle dizzle, I'm on a track with the Big Snoop Dizzle
Let the Henny trickle, down the beat, wit a ghetto tempo
I done blazed the instrumental, laid it plain and simple
Getting brain in the rental, I done did it again
My eyes chinky, I'm wit Chingy, at the Holidae In
I can't figure this out.

LeAnn Womack's "I hope you Dance" underscores lifes choices and effects.
quote:
i hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty-handed
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance (dance)
I hope you dance (dance)
I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Livin' might mean takin' chances, but they're worth takin'
Lovin' might be a mistake, but it's worth makin'
Don't let some hell bent heart leave you bitter
When you come close to sellin' out, reconsider
Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance (time is a wheel in constant motion)
I hope you dance (always rolling us along)
I hope you dance (tell me who wants to look back on their years)
I hope you dance (and wonder where those years have gone)
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
Dance, I hope you dance (dance)
I hope you dance (time is a wheel in constant motion)
I hope you dance (always rolling us along)
I hope you dance (tell me who wants to look back on their years)
I hope you dance (and wonder where those years have gone)
Tell me who wants to look back on their years (dance)
And wonder where those years have gone (dance)

Old school song. I thought it used to say, wrapped up like a douche and always thought, that's pretty nasty.
Blinded by the light
Revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night
Blinded by the light
Revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night
Blinded by the light
Revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night
Blinded by the light
Revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night

Blinded by the light.
Wrapped up like a deuce, another roller
In the night.
Always sounded like, wrapped up like a duche.

Wrapped up like a deuce, another roller
In the night.
Always sounded like, wrapped up like a duche.
