T's and Blues

I remember reading in the late 80s about a guy busted for T's and Blues, and I had no idea what it was. Neither did my pharmacist friend.

Your post jogged my memory, and I see now that it was a heroin substitute devised by junkies when heroin supplies in Chicago ran short in the 70s. Some enterprising lad learned that a combination of the synthetic painkiller pentazocine AKA Talwin and pyribenzamine, a common antihistamine in OTC meds, could be crushed and mixed together in solution, then cooked to make a decent heroin substitute. Word spread across the country.

Necessity and the desire to get fricked up are the mothers of invention.

I don't use Old Spice. I use Sauvage.

But I think their commercials with Deon Cole and Gabrielle Dennis are great.
