Humidity percentage isn’t as important as the dew point.

For example, San Diego is 64 degrees with 80% humidity and a dew point at 55 degrees.

Baton Rouge is 80 degrees with 75% humidity and a dew point of 74 degrees.

Guarantee Baton Rouge feels miserable right now and San Diego feels amazing.

Would you consider Dallas humid? In comparison to South Georgia and Florida?

The only con to SD is the tent cities and housing prices.

The rents really aren't that much higher than BR's, even walking distance from the beach.

Maybe I'm used to associating heat with humidity living in south LA. I loved the weather there in the summer. It was at worst usually like 80 degrees

Might be the dew point. The humidity is high here but it doesn't sit on you like it does when you get off a plane in the South.

I'd go to SLC way before the Arizona cities that keep getting mentioned.

Dew point matters. 80% humidity in Southern California usually isn't going to feel like 80% humidity in Louisiana even at the same temp. I've been in Los Angeles before when it was 90% humidity and it was in the high 80's yet it was still pretty comfortable.

Southern California is going to have the most comfortable climate in North America. We're pretty much built to thrive in Mediterranean climates.

Having said that, the OP might like Eugene, Spokane, Boise, Reno, or SLC. I'd say Vegas but he says he doesn't want to be in the desert. San Angelo, TX might work if OP doesn't need to be by any major cities.
