Pagers
Still used in many/most hospitals.

My Mom works at a hospital and they still use pagers. I don't get it.
Cheap service plan and reception through large, brick walls.

I much prefer faxing things to email.

I still have my old one. It has more storage space than my phone. I won't buy a replacement when it dies though.

iPod Classic has a 160GB hard drive. Your phone doesn't hold as much.
And as far as streaming it is concerned, local playback is superior for a number of reasons. Particularly uninterrupted service that never goes down and zero cost for service.

If you are in a spot where you have poor reception those options don't work that well, and it does happen. Also, it might be an old fashioned and obselete idea, but I like actually owning my own music and having a collection.
