At work a guy told me and a few others that his 12 year old son can actually throw a football over 100 yards and was 100% serious. He said it was a regular leather football on a high school football field. I immediately try to tell him that it just wasn’t possible but, (INCREDIBLY!), another coworker in his 20’s casually claimed he also regularly threw a football over 100yds in high school even though he didn’t play sports.

So, according to them, I work with the father of a kid who has the strongest arm in history already at 12 years old and another who may have been the strongest arm in history until now. What are the odds?

I now seriously question the hiring process of the company I work for. And no I don’t work for any fast food restaurants. One of them makes around 6 figures and the other is well paid also.

Someone once told me a woman swam across the Mississippi River in NOLA in the midst of near-record flood conditions. They were 100% serious.

EDIT: turns out there’s proof of it via Facebook video. Can’t post the link because it’s Facebook but it happened.

I almost didn’t make this thread because it is the same style as one of those you mentioned.

Looks like you need to get out before that place goes under if that’s who they’re hiring.

My brother married this retarded bitch from down the bayou. Pretty sure she was a prostitute but never had concrete evidence. Anyway, she claimed that she had a perfect on both the ACT and every LEAP test she took, she claimed McKinley high in Baton Rouge was named after her family (last name was McKinley), and that’s just the shite I remember. It’s ridiculous how much she lied. They’re no longer together thank God.

Went to high school with a habitual liar, it would be funny/annoying if it weren't a bit sad because it seems like most of his lies were to try to win friends or impress people trying to get folks to like him. Anyways...one of the most memorable was when he told a group of us that when he was younger the little league that he was in had a full 162 game season. He apparently was the pitcher and in the final game of the season he struck out the final batter and the rest of the team carried him off the field on their shoulders.

It makes me wish I would have lied on my resume because there is no way they do background checks or anything.

Worked with a guy that claimed he was Russian Special Forces. He flew in Migs and was on security detail at Chernobyl.

Funny thing, although he was born in Ukraine, I know he graduated High School in Texas in the late 1990s.

The math was not kind to him.

Never underestimate the lies parents will tell about their kids. I work with the father of God's gift to lacrosse. For years we heard about how good this kid was. They were taking college visits to Duke and Syracuse. I went to one of his high school games. I don't know squat about the sport, but he looked average. His high school team was awful.

He graduated this year, and had one offer. A D3 school that takes anyone with a pulse. He opted to go be a regular student at a state university.
