I’ve had the same pair of $35 Wal Mart steel toed boots for years. Brahmas. They need inserts.

Danner would be a top choice. Thorogoods I had/have are complete shite.

Also my experience with thorogood, decent boots but no comparison to danner.

Has to be steel toe. Nephew's boss requires it for the work they do.

Doubtful. Both provide toe protection.

Everyone is different but I wore Georgia Romeos When I was an iron worker. Worked 12 hours a day on concrete and didn't have any issues. They lasted me as good or better than Redwings and Wolverines I had as well.

I’m on the BOA bandwagon. I’ve gone through 4 pair of Wolverine I 90s. They last a couple of years for me.

If I’m just inspecting the mill, I wear them pretty loose on my feet. I’ll ratchet them up a little tighter if I’m actually doing some work.

My life’s ambition is to find some steel toed boots that are at least reasonably comfortable….

I had a pair of Doc Marten work boots that were the most comfortable footwear I owned.

Birkenstock qs700 steel toe boots are the most comfortable I've ever owned. They feel like I'm wearing slippers. Odd colors but I darkened them with lots of mink oil. Recommend dipping the toes to keep the threads from coming apart if you weld or drag your feet a lot. I won't go back to my danners or redwings after wearing these.

Thorogood Heritage but they’re expensive

This is what I’ve got. Amazing boot but be ready to drop $250–$300. But they will last a long damn time.
