It's a hobby, I dont make money but do let groups (non profit) use them. I like landscape and interesting lighting the most

My favorite hobbies are:
Working on my old car. So find an old sixties car that’ll have a bunch of parts available, like a falcon or a Mustang. They are really easy to work on. And if you consider it a three year project, you’re only looking at an avg of 200 bucks a month investment.
Hiking: tough to do in Louisiana. But nothing beats being out in the woods for a week at a time and hiking 15 miles a day.
Beer: beer history, beer taste, beer science, I love it all. I’m about to dive into home brewing also.

Early 30s singlebro here:
Tennis. Joined a local club and play in leagues, tournaments, etc. Meet people and stay in shape while having fun. Most people are older though
Piano:I was learning piano until my instructor retired and subsequently passed away. This one takes up a lot of time
Hiking: Live in California so this is a no brainer. In Louisiana it’s not really that great
Learning a language:about to pick up learning Spanish
Reading:Classic fiction, history, science. Think of all the famous books that you’ve never read

SFP- keep defending your masculinity unapologetically. You are absolutely right on this point. Listen man, I take Mrs Pimp to Europe every year. But I have to have time to just do MAN stuff too, so I go places on my own every year for a few weeks ( just came back from Thailand). That time sustains me. I am HIGHLY aware that soon I will be worm food and my kids are 20,18,15 and I’m starting another stage of life.
I am writing a screenplay ( it sucks ), I walk 35 miles a week, I meditate , I drink bourbon with friends. I find I have to balance “ a life of the mind “ with physical activity. That physical time also allows me the passive learning of podcast and YouTube. For instance, I’m about to try to learn basic French now because I’m going to Monte Carlo / Nice this summer.
I’d like to do a really well produced political/cultural podcast. That’s kind of a pipe dream I lack the discipline to make happen.
I am writing a screenplay ( it sucks ), I walk 35 miles a week, I meditate , I drink bourbon with friends. I find I have to balance “ a life of the mind “ with physical activity. I play chess. The downside to picking it up later in life is that people who have been playing since they were young will be so far ahead of you that you will never catch up. Depending on the club that you go to you will just get destroyed. When I went to the Baton Rouge club for classical games I would just get repeatedly destroyed by people whose playing strength was 500-800 points higher than mine. Treme chess club for rapid games is a little more casual though, and I would be able to fairly regularly take games and be competitive at least. There's always online chess games though for more regularly matching against people similar to your own strength. Playing OTB is more exciting, fun, and instructive though, imo

Wood-working. No Idea what experience level you have or what tools you own but start with basic stuff. There are plenty how to's on youtube and the library is slap full of great resources. All you need is basic stuff to build shelves, then cabinets, etc. You can build or repair just about anything wood related (within reason) using nothing more than a circular saw, jig saw, straight edge, battery drill, square and a tape, hand chisels, mallet and some clamps. No need for top of the line gear, spend more $ on good blades..As your skilset gets better, you can add more tools, router, tablesaw, nailers etc.
