Definitely need to do this. Really haven’t worked out since the military. Back then it was easy to destroy my body, wake up and pt. Now I’m afraid to look like a little girl at the gym.

40 is when you fall apart

45
A few knee surgeries really slowed me down. Each of the later ones really cut back on my activity level. Post op blood clot after a reconstruction really set me back with therapy.
I’m just short of 54.

frick that though, still going full speed ahead.
Nvm, it's not bad luck, it's pathological stubbornness.

Probably 30ish was when I realized I had to change up my workouts a little. No more PRs and hitting new Maxs on workouts. Those days are gone. Staying in the gym helps with nagging pain though. Luckily just a little shoulder pain here and there.....goes to check out health board trt thread haha

Early 40s. That's also around the same time that I woke up one day and couldn't see to read without glasses. It seems like it literally happens overnight.
My wife went blind in what seemed like an instant. I'm still hanging on glasses free at 44

Started really feeling like shite early 30s. Cut out processed food, high carbs/sweets, etc. and feel so much better.
I think a lot of "aging" is just shitty diets finally catching up to people. Especially for things doctors don't understand beyond "*shrug* its caused by genetics with a link to obesity"

40, when I had my first major surgery (colon resection). It's been downhill ever since.

40, the hard work in my 20s and old injuries started showing up. I'm 49 now and wake up in pain more days than not, I think I will need surgery on my shoulder within the next couple of years.

Me too. I swear I could read a book fine one night and the next I had to squint and move the book back and forth to find the sweet spot. I now have reading glasses.

And people go on crazy cut diets to lose weight and stay "healthy". Which is good, but if you are in the gym and running your body still needs a good bit of healthy calories to feel good.

38, when my kids finished sports (hs) and I stopped coaching.

When I tore my Achilles at age 34. Haven’t been the same since.

Early 40's. Playing volleyball with late teen/early 20's nephews, neices, and cousins on Memorial Day weekend. Went up to spike, came down and tore ACL.

34, but it went away a good bit when I lost a bunch of weight and stopped drinking so much.

Had a friend this happened to at about 30. One of the best athletes I know. Crazy how much it impacts athleticism.
