They carried it further into the woods a while back and were standing around doing nothing, so I turned the feed off as I am about to see a patient.

Damn work interfering with the important events of the day.

When they carried it, it seemed her back legs were stuck in that spread eagle position. The deer is either exhausted or has broken legs. Apparently they left it there with the blanket covering it.

It might have been more humane to kill it than to leave it defenseless like that.

We had one a few weeks ago. Some brave souls risked life and limb to save the deer only to have the authorities put him down.

why not just shoot it and put it out of its misery?

You've obviously never been to Simsbury, CT. It's filled with bleeding heart liberals that would rather a deer suffer and freeze than have it be inhumanely shot and quickly put out of its misery.

So instead it'll lay out there in the cold defenseless until some coyotes come along and slowly eat it alive.

Good job liberals. Hell if you're gonna go through all this trouble at least tranq dart it and take it to a vet

I would hardly call what they did a rescue. They about killed the thing. It shouldn't have taken more than 5 minutes to get that thing off the ice, and they spent 2 hours and decided to try to throw a blanket and sawdust at it.

Idiots.
