Waking up at 4am and looking outside, THAT is one of the largest night downpours of my life.

It was surprisingly heavy in WBR as well. Weather girl said it had potential, but I didn’t think it would be this much that fast.

You sound triggered. Like, legitimately upset that someone posted something trying to help others. Something that you yourself had the choice to either see or not see.

I’ll never understand you people.

Just don’t click the thread next time.

The worst weather I have personally been through in south LA the pst 5 years have been events with no fan fare on this board or by meteorologists. 5 years or so ago on the way into work everyone on their way into Nola was flooded on the roads. It was wild. School busses stranded too. And not a damn thing was said about it before.

I had to quickly make an escape exit to rock in bowl off of Earnhardt

South of you. Woke up to my front ditch full. Went to bed with it empty.

Road already 10 inches under water.

Oh well. Wife is stuck home because she HAD to have a sedan rather than an SUV.

Oh, let me be a weather thread guy

“People will die from drowning and get flooded. Easy for you to say tough guy. Feel lucky. Ban him. Abundance of caution. Cancel it ”

The world would be a much better place if people just bought all-terrain tires that actually evacuated water properly.

Was almost killed no less than three times this morning by people hitting water pockets.

No, just laughing how seriously these amateur meteorologists take themselves, and how often the amateur and professional ones are wrong. Especially with their doom-casting

There's still a lot up in the air at this point, but there will be another severe threat Monday/Monday night.

When I was young, people would just say it rained a lot last night.

bring back the glory days of our September/October drought!!

I knew Mother Nature would get even for that run of blissfully dry weather.

Yeah, you usually don't get to go more than a foot below normal and not have it play some catch up.

Heavy rain doesn’t sell papers. As you can see by this thread being only 2 pages.
