Blacks obviously spend a lot on Nike, or that is what they are currently targeting.

It means his retarded protest cost him his NFL career. Being a shitty qb had nothing to do with it. Maybe nfl owners don't want the drama. I don't blame them either.

But what did he sacrifice? Is he living on the street? Did he lose his $40mm that he has in the bank? Is NIKE using his face and name in their new campaign for free...Is CK not going to make millions off this campaign plus a new shoe deal and clothing line?

What exactly did he sacrifice?

Has anyone been able to outline what this "movement" stands for other than deflecting from black on black violence, failing schools, horrible poverty, and 80% single parent birth rates?

I think it's just cop hating. Remember his pig socks?

So they are targeting the most unemployed demographic in the country? Thats a bold strategy

Yet, more government is what they are essentially asking for.

Even he goes broke I'm sure his upper class white suburbanite family would take him back in

Makes sense....use an unemployed out of work spokesman to attract your unemployed customer base.

Nike is a genius

I like this photo of CK better because it really shows the sacrifice he made. Wait that's not CK that's a marine who sacrificed his leg in combat.

Do you think this is some new strategy? The primary audience for Jordan’s has never been 45 year old white dudes in the suburbs.

This thread is dumb, but wall street is seeming to think that it has a negative effect. down 3% since the news broke. BTW no company worth 127b should ever make a decision that controversial. You have the ability to piss off say 15% of the us population, and you have on record how much that hurt the NFL last year. Investors today are saying that it was a bad decision.

I thought Nike usually went after athletes.

Would he be better suited endorsing hair care products?

No but the 45 year old white dude in the suburbs buys clothes and shoes for his children and that 45 year old white dude will no longer buy Nike products for his children

It hasn't dropped below it's opening price today...

It's not like Nike is taking a nosedive.

And ftr, the overall market is down today.
