Wells Fargo is terrible

Check got deposited yesterday and then today it’s gone. They are saying a nationwide glitch and many people over drafted. Thankfully for me McDonald’s pays weekly.

ETA do you mean on Wells Fargo banks only or all banks?

They may be the worst national bank out there. Left them years ago due to frickery around deposits and overdrafts.

We bank with Capital One, but are in the process of transferring our accounts over to a local credit union. Capital One closer every single branch with a lobby within the city limits. All they have are “cafes” with “ambassadors” now. If you want to cash or deposit a check, you can only do it through the ATM. If you call their 1-800 customer service number, good luck getting a person who speaks English well enough for you to understand them. They are complete garbage.

I have Wells Fargo and my check is there? It was a day late.
FYI I've worked in IT for Regions, Wells Fargo, Citi, and Bank of America.
They all suck massively

If you don't keep much in your checking account it can happen. Mortgage and health insurance can get you there fast in some parts of the country.

I swapped from Walls Fargo just because locally here in Birmingham visiting a branch was a nightmare. No matter the location I would wait 15-20 minutes to get help. Not worth it as someone who routinely visits banks to make deposits.
