I have no problem with capital one. I would rather mobile deposit or in the ATM anyway. Not sure why having to go in, stand in line, deal with a middle man to do the same thing is preferred by some.

I use my credit union for most everything but I have a WF account to make it convenient for my tenants to pay rent. Don’t use it for much else, I keep a little in that account but usually transfer most of it to my cu.

This is a nationwide Wells Fargo problem. We have a lot of pissed off employees right now.

It may have something to do with the SVB collapse. Payroll processors that used SVB to issue the payment are having issues.

Not surprised.
Let’s just say their security breech team leave a shite ton to be desired, and has lost customers as a direct result.
They would be on of the very last, if not the last, financial institution I’d ever recommend someone put their money in.

I usually handle everything through the app or ATM, but recently my wife had to go into a branch for assistance depositing a check from her late father’s estate. Neither mobile deposit nor the ATM would take it. The cafe employee told her she had to mail the check to Capital One main office in Las Vegas.

I don't know about all that and I'm not for making generalizations. However, I do have an anecdote.
I only know 1 prominent person associated with Wells Fargo (on the business side) and he was a crook. When his crookery was revealed, they were fine with it and happily continued doing business with him. Draw whatever inference you wish.
