OP is an idiot. NY style pizza usually requires folding if you want to eat it one-handed. Especially for the first bite because the point of the pizza usually droops and the cheese can slide off. Unless you fold it.

Folding the pizza turns it into a muffalotta.

Right. And big thin pizza is popular up there so this becomes more important.

Turn the piece upside down where the crust is up, and you won't burn your palate.

it prevents roof of mouth from HOT CHEESE
I'm sure you've burnt the roof of your mouth at least once
folding it, just kinda insulates it a bit

you could still get burnt tongue if it's hot enuf

seen people take two squares of pizza and faced the cheese together...same principle

not weird, but pretty normal

while we're on pizza, does anyone remember in elementary/middle school the pizza they had that the cheese was almost orange and had meat toppings? That's probably the best pizza I can ever recall eating. I think they were square.

I do not recall it.

And doesn't it defeat the purpose of thin pizza if you fold it. I lived up north and would just ask them to cut my pizza into more slices.

This is true.

Also, the way johnnys cuts their pizza into rectangles makes it taste better

The orange was just the grease running out from the cheese and peperoni. I remember it well.
