They are family and best friends who will walk away with new suits, nothing rented.
you are buying all their suits or are you making them buy their own.
isn't this what women bitch about when it comes to buying bridesmaids dresses?
i guess they will wear the suit more than once though. or not.

Old men in late 20s, early 30s don't feel like wasting their whole day sitting around drinking
don't listen to this guy
I'd suggest just hanging out somewhere casual, watching some football, drinking, etc
just hang out and have a good time to take your stress off what is about to go down

I'm telling you, I've served in about 7 weddings and 3 as best man.
The experience is exhausting. Forcing me to hangout all day from crack of dawn is just overkill. Old men in late 20s, early 30s don't feel like wasting their whole day sitting around drinking, especially when they payoff is standing in your wedding. And then a reception.
Our friends are not alike
Mine are mid 20's and all love to constantly party and do stuff.
ETA:
and crack of dawn? I'm getting breakfast sent to their hotel rooms at like 10 and let them choose to come meet us or not. Its not like I'm giving them a schedule.

Is there a skeet shooting course nearby?
This is what I was going to say. Go to hunters run in Port Allen, it's pretty fun and can accommodate a large group pretty easily.

You sound like the selfish one. It's one day for your best friend, not to mention you committed to it. You could have very easily said no. Get off your high horse and I hope said horse fricks you in the arse.

Speak for yourself, doing that with a group of friends would be awesome

yeah there isnt anything really "exhausting" about being a groomsman.
being a best man is.
my time as best man, i spent all day of the ceremony running around doing shite for the groom.

what is there to do?
I've been best man twice and both times the grooms party just sat around the pool all day and drank

that blows.
And I have a wedding planner to do that shite. My groomsmen are on vacation to party and shack with bridesmaids/bride's friends.

I'll give that a shot. My dad's house is nearby and has a decent backyard with speakers and stuff.
Thanks.
Yea man, a good fish fry or something. Gameday on the TV, maybe even have a flatscreen set up outside. Ice chest full of craft beer (or w/e they like) and a few top shelf spirits. Just create a relaxed atmosphere with no worries.

you are not human. I love it.
Les, I don't call being forced to sit around with a bunch of people you hardly half arse know fun. The groom isn't even there hardly in my experience, running around doing shite last minute.
My last wedding was in April as best man. I had to entertain two autistic brothers of the bride tell bad Family Guy impressions and knock knock jokes. Maybe I'm a little jaded.

Like what?
I've been best man 3 times and the only exhausting thing was all the drinking which I enjoyed
There are some really anti social frickers on here
