What little we had is melting. Dripping off my roof sounds like it's raining.

Mid-City of N.O. and still falling pretty steady. Not sure how deep it is since I'm not venturing down a dozen slippery, ice covered steps to find out but going by familiar landmarks, I'd say a good 6 inches or more is on the ground right now.

No vehicular traffic has passed down the street and the street is a white blanket with just a few sets of footprints down the middle with folks down the block playing in the ball park across from Mid-City Yacht Club.

Cold, dry and cloudy in the mountains of NE Alabama. I enjoyed the snow we got week before last, but so glad this round is well south of us. My daughter just moved to Gulf Shores in December. I bet the Baldwin County elementary school she is doing her speech pathology internship at will be closed the rest of the week.

I'm a few blocks away from Old Mandeville. Holy crap we must be at around 8 to 10 inches already. It's still going, but has slowed down a good bit. This is bringing back memories of my childhood up north... Best part is my 2 Aussies, who absolutely DESPISE water and being wet, are having the time of their frickin lives! I haven't seen zoomies like this since they were puppies.

I am dreading tomorrow and Thursday though, I have a feeling there will be quite a bit of black ice on the roads.
