How many confirmed now? This system keeps going.

I have no idea. I keep hoping that it will just stop. I am encouraged that the reports of damage has stopped for these new warnings as far I can tell.

This one looks serious that went over the Mercedes Benz plant, or very near it.

I’d like to piece together the Tornado warnings we were watching over night such as Craig Springs, Quincy, Greenwood etc. i recall there being2- 3 tornados at once in a county. Can someone figure out if some of the massive cells actually had a Tornado on ground? I can’t believe the detestation so far. We really lucked out here.

Was this confirmed yet? Curious to see if 2 were on the ground like he said

Dr. Postel on TWC is trying to drive home the point that the current line isn't attached to the front... it's way ahead of the front and that there's still plenty enough instability so when the front actually comes through that could bring a 2nd round of severe weather today

Just flew into atlanta and was very lucky we landed when we did, not a fun landing getting thrown around in the storms trying to land to the east with the straight south winds. Looks like they just did a runway swap to takeoff/landings to the west, starting to cause delays. About 50 planes in the air circling here based off the radar. One of those is the maintenance delayed 6am baton rouge flight that took off just after we did, but didn't make it in before the weather picked up.

would be seriously pissed if that was my plane

Yeahh, it left about BTR about 3 hours late then circled for an extra hour and a half so 4.5 hrs late. I'm just happy to be sitting in ATL and not circling in these nasty winds

I flew for the 1st time in my life last month (I turn 34 Tuesday)
round trip... BTR - Dallas - Billings, MT
it was bad enough to me mentally landing and then taking off again in a soupy fog in Dallas going up and then landing in a rain shower back in BTR to end my trip

Luckily we have some great pilots in the US (whether flying huge 777s or CRJ700/900s) that even in bad turbulence I have enough faith in their skills to get us through the worst storms. If weather is bad enough, there's always the chance to divert to another airport and stay safe.

I was looking around my plane the whole 3ish hours of flight time each way thinking "if all these people aren't spooked by anything going on... I shouldn't be either"
wasn't fun when we started the flight from Billings back to Dallas and the pilot immediately says "there was some turbulence reported so we're going to leave the fasten seatbelt light on longer than normal"
that was the day after that "bomb cyclone" dropped that blizzard across the midwest
I was lucky af... flew up the morning before that bomb cyclone and flew back the day after in the afternoon

tornado warning by the NC/VA border

Well, yeah, those are the people that put their backup generators down in a hole to hide them from the water. Then they flooded and spent mega money finding out that water flows down hill.

3 levee breaks already today in Area 45 mins outside st.louis, and already at 4th highest flooding stages in some places. This is going to be an ugly flooding season for all.
And were supposed to get even more rain all week, while it storms north on Missouri and Mississippi rivers.
