I almost wonder if the better chance of supercell development will be in western MS rather than northern Louisiana.

Maybe once the warm front moves north it’ll push the junk convection out and set the stage for the supercell development.

Not that I am pulling for that to happen.

Possibly but it's still early. There is a lot of time left before things clear LA.

just a cluster of heavy rain and some hail/wind in the moderate area so far

Keep a close eye on it. It's getting a broad rotation going as it heads into Alexandria and toward you. It could potentially drop a tornado on you without much warning.

The strong southerly wind is going feed this cold front with a lot of warm air. Wherever the line of the front is located is gonna catch hell
