The best defense from catching bugs from these folks in my view is to wait outside for the work to be done, and realizing you're touching things they touched (door knobs, etc.), don't touch your face or pick your nose and wash your hands when you get home. Probably allergies, but there's a chance of something contagious.

Keep in mind that it is allergy season. I’ve been sneezing and coughing for a couple weeks and aren’t a danger to anyone. I’m not wearing a mask just to make random strangers feel better.

You’re getting a bunch of downvotes, but you’re right. If sitting on a plane next to someone coughing sneezing or otherwise looking unwell, I will absolutely wear one. Same thing if I’m traveling and on public transit.

To each their own and I respect your right to choose. I just wish the government would do their damn job and put out real scientific guidance. FACT - cloth mask doesn't do shite. If you want to make the choice to mask up then get a PROPERLY FITTED N95 mask and use it correctly.

I usually just step outside and wait there when then lobby is crowded- regardless if there are coughers or not. Been doing this since before covid and still do. Isn’t as much about getting sick as much as it is me not liking people in general. There are very easy, common sense ways to prevent getting sick without wearing a muzzle
