don't be retarded. Trump has the benefit of seeing that neither Iraq nor Afghan. has been a real winner. as such, I think he will be hesitant to start or participate in a "war" with Korea. But that benefit wasn't available when the Bush's went into Iraq.
But lets also look at the 2 situations. Is North Korea the same as Iraq? not even close. NK has China's backing. and is literally next door. Who did/does Iraq have? NK has nuclear weapons. did Iraq? its not the same. So the options are different. Iraq, like Iran, is just another shithole Islamic country with a hardon for the west. But they have no means and no one to back them. And yet both are doing all they can to pick a fight. North Korea has China as its guardian China will keep them in line and offer them protection. They'll allow NK to show its arse, but they'll intervene if the NORKS start trying to provoke the US into a conflict.
No one is gonna get behind Iran or Iraq in a fight against us.

We ain't going to war with Iran. There might be conflict in the ME, but we won't have troops involved.

There is no reason to go to full fledge war with Iran. Destroy their refineries and main ports and they crumble from within. We could start the process of taking down that regime in one hour with zero loss of US lives
Big, relatively modern countries can not afford to have basic functions destroyed
If they get too close to getting the bomb, Israel is going to turn them into the worlds biggest parking lot regardless.

Yes!!! We have military member who’ve made 5 or 6 deployments. Some less and some more. We can’t depend on the guard to fight long term wars. Anything in the ME will be long term unless we bomb the shite out of them them leave. I can’t imagine being 20 years old again and seeing war on the horizon.

Not going to read all 9 pages but those of you who think this is another Desert Storm are nuts. Iran needs to think long and hard because Trump's nuclear button is taking the chains off of Israel. They will level every power plant back to the stove ages within hours of him doing so. I haven't heard where the drone came from but it wouldn't be surprising if it was piloted by some guy who was eating Chipotle before firing the missiles from one of their command centers out west.
If they are dumb enough to escalate this well see Israeli airstrikes on nuclear/power/military sites followed by US drones cleaning up to establish air supremacy followed by Tomahawk missiles and jets flying in from the Med. The Saudis will be the ones who provide the ground force. Israel will then start concentrating on Hezbollah in Lebanon and any incursions from their neighbors. The guy who may end up eating the bag of shite is the King of Jordan. He has been strattling the fence between both sides and will likely be forced to pick a side.
