I don’t understand why adults are on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, or Tik Tok. Adults with families and careers at that.
Well. We are getting to a point where today's adults grew up on social media. I'll be 30 this year. Myspace came out when I was a child.
I don't keep up with everything the younger people are doing like TikTok (although I know what it is), but it is almost unheard of for someone my age to not have any social media whatsoever.
Instagram is great IMO. I follow thousands of restaurants, chefs, food blogs, etc. I know when places in town are running specials and I can even see what they look like. I know exactly who is open during this virus and what their hours are because they post it there. I know what new spots are coming. Etc.

I don’t see how responsible adults have the time.
Well, according to your post history, you have time to watch multiple seasons of multiple TV shows. When do you have time for that? You also have over 87,000 posts on this website.
I always find it strange when people look down on others for something they do in their free time and act like they "don't have time for such stupidity" when they absolutely do - they just spend their free time differently.
Wondering how someone has time to scroll through Instagram when you sit in front of your TV for 2+ hours at night is a real head scratcher.

Not defending FB, but I can understand adults being on there more than the others.
FB is nothing more than a platform where people are constantly trying to one up each other. It's pathetic. Some people even completely make **** up.

You haven't been in the dating scene in a while if you don't enjoy Snapchat. Girls get freaky on there.

Even then, Snapchat can be very fun. Unless your wife is a prude.

Gotcha, i don’t have it
But maybe I’m missing out? What’s an example?
quote:Haha no. I don't even have a pic there. I honestly haven't figure out why it exists.
Why’s that? You don’t network through it?
Or just use it to put up your picture and stalk people at your firm?

I mean if you search on google or google maps doesn’t it say the same?

I feel like they tweet it too, no?

For headhunters to reach out to you.
Or just to show of your resume.
It’s just professional Facebook IMO

Google isn't always correct, but he's also talking about special instances. Such as now during the virus. Google isn't going to update holidays, virus hours, etc. The business will post it on their social media.
The places operated by younger folks do all of this specifically on Instagram moreso than Facebook. But both are better than relying on Google.
Specials is a big one for me. Overpass Merchant, for example, posts photos of their specials every day. I've definitely gone in specifically because of something on special.

I don’t know what that place is but many of my favorite places here do that as well on their IGs.
