Wildred Batiste- or "Bat" as everybody called him, worked at the original Camellia Grill for 50 years until he passed away about 5 or 6 years ago. He kept 7 or 8 Rotties in his yard and those dogs would stop everything and lock onto him and wait for his every command. I've had two at one time and that was enough work- I couldn't imagine handling 7 or 8. They are an amazing breed with the right training.

Probably some, but it does tell others about your personality.

I dont have pets, which goes to commitment issues I'm sure. BUT if I were I think I would get a miniature schnauzer. I think they are cool with their beards. Ha.

In my random research, when I'm thinking about pulling the trigger...nvr do, I came across an article once about dating and the what the dog types say about the person. I've always gotten along with girls that have bigger dogs as that says they need a protector. So me wanting a smaller dog makes me that protector type.

Anyway...if their is a good mini-schnauzer thread somewhere on this site I would love to read it. I really do want to pull the trigger, but always talk myself out as I research the hell out of everything. Why I turned out to be a "Blue" in my companies recent 'Insights - Personality' training. Ha.

LOL if this is a facetious troll post, then well played sir. My favorite breed NAID, they're basically domesticated wolves

Lot of good breeds discussed.

Check out a greyhound. They are pretty gentle dogs.

I grew up with labs and ridgebacks.
Now I'm all about the pug life.

My all-time favorite is the Hungarian Puli.

Nasty pit bulls. I love when people try to use their formal name to attempt to differentiate them from the monsters that they are

Labs, retrievers, bulldogs, corgis, shepards, the list is endless really. My go to for owning will always be of the labrador family.

I personally have a beautiful girl black lab and a badass little boy pit/lab/shepard mix. I don’t know everthing that is in the mutt. He has so many different colors and body features, he could be the mascot for multiculturalism.

Straight from Wikipedia:

“Pit bull is the common name for a type of dog descended from bulldogs and terriers. Formal breeds often considered to be of the pit bull type include the American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, American Bully, and Staffordshire Bull Terrier.”

You clearly need a chromosome check.

Common term for people who obviously know very little about dogs.

It's like calling Dutch Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, and German Shepherds all German Shepherds. Different breeds, different temperaments, different sizes, etc.
