Dobermans and Rottweilers

I'm on my 3rd Rottweiler. I don't think I'll ever have another breed- they have spoiled me. So smart and great temperament. They have been used by stupid people who want a badass dog for their own ego- and they can't handle the breed or don't care enough to. They do need a strong presence to be in control- otherwise they will take the lead thinking you need their protection- instead of the other way around. This is the my current- no aggression and great with kids and other animals.

Big Dog: Golden Retriever or a Chech Shepard

Small: French Bulldog, very chill, don't really bark and have a personality

I'm really fond of most pointers and spaniels (bird dogs) and my basset hounds.

I had a dog that was part border collie and part GSD. That was one helluva smart dog.

Bichon Frise / Japanese Chin mix. Funniest, stupidest, ugliest most loyal animal I ever met.

Smartest dog I've ever seen was a Rottweiler owned and trained by my Cuban neighbor in New Orleans. The things he could get that dog to do, complex multi-layered commands in succession, was just truly unbelievable. Dogs aren't supposed to be able to carry out more than one command at a time.
