They probably hire people on actual resumes and ability instead of using real life to base a decision on. The truth is that attractiveness sales. People sometimes don’t want to admit that because it hurts feelings but it’s just the truth. The more attractive your reporters are, the better your ratings will be.

Grew up and went to school with Vowell in our little town in MS. She was always a cool chick, down to earth, and smart. She went off to Ole Miss and I went to LSU and so we became mortal enemies for a few years haha
It was fun to give her hell, too, when she first came to BR because she is Hotty Toddy all the way.
Career-wise, I think she will do well. I'm pretty sure she got on with WLOX in Gulfport right out of school before coming to BR. She did a report on Stennis/NASA from inside one of those modified jets that fly a parabolic flight path in order to give a few seconds of zero G which was really cool.
It was fun to give her hell, too, when she first came to BR because she is Hotty Toddy all the way.

Just about the whole WBRZ lineup could get it. Starting with ol Bess. And I think Ashley Fruge went to Chappelle so she's def DTF.

Shes pale as a ghost, wears those ridiculous glasses and some fricked up eye makeup. I think I've seen her look decent maybe twice on camera.
Weiss needs a fashion consultant, but she has a great smile and isn't as pale as Bess. Plus she likes golf, so she has that going for her.

Vowell looks pretty hot at times. I just wish she'd lighten up a little. She always seems to have facial expressions associated with reporting on a disaster. The clips of her in the spot for her involvement with the Komen organization, where she is outside and looks to be having fun are huge improvements.
