Been at the same office for 2 years, and still fire up Waze every day leaving the parking lot. It has saved me so much time avoiding wrecks on 225 and 45.

Palm Beach County Sheriff Rick Bradshaw wants Waze banned because he said it's unsafe and puts his deputies at risk by marking them

I drive over 35k miles a year. I'm pretty well aware of how waze works and sometimes doesn't work.

I drive about 40k a year and stick to Google Maps for commute. Simple enough. Look for Red/Green and take alt route if necessary.
I don't speed b/c I'm a pussy arse pawpaw, so don't need copper markers.

You realize it is because it senses that long arse loop will help you miss a prolonged traffic jam and will get you there faster, right?
I tried that this morning. Guess who got stuck in traffic.

I wish they'd integrate the good features of waze into google maps.

Waze updates quicker. Maps will alert you to trouble, but Waze does a better job of giving heads up. It's maps are good. Directions are about the same. Neither knows all the short cuts. Though Waze knows more, for instance on a drive to Metairie from Uptown, often Waze will send you through Pigeon town and Hollygrove down to Monticelo, where you come out on Jefferson highway. Waze also showed me the secret unmarked Earhart expressway entrance off of Airline that I never knew existed (no signage either)

A ton of uber drivers use Waze instead of the default maps that Uber provides them. They either have it pulled up on a separate phone or switch out of the uber app. It's incredible.

Waze doesn't promise that you won't get stuck in traffic. It simply assesses the best route with the most acceptable trade-offs based on your chosen settings, and based on current traffic conditions. It's not waze's fault if an accident happens after you proceed down a selected path.

You misunderstood. I thought I knew better than Waze, I was wrong.

No, but that is because Waze does not have alerts for attorneys now.
But it is so hard to get a name change on here.

One of my buddies is a cop who is a Waze user himself. He said some nights he actually likes to get marked so he can just chill for a while.

What are the odds that some of the police actually have waze and strike through to remove the police marked spots...granted someone else will just come along and mark them again eventually.

I don't get on i-10 or 12 without checking Waze first. Probably saves me a couple of hours a month in traffic. That's a 24 hour day per year that I'm not sitting on the interstate.
