One of my buddies is a cop who is a Waze user himself. He said some nights he actually likes to get marked so he can just chill for a while

User Five0 on here does that. He marks himself and then engages with other users in the comments that inevitably follow

What are the odds that some of the police actually have waze and strike through to remove the police marked spots...granted someone else will just come along and mark them again eventually.

thats the beauty of waze. eventually crowd-sourcing wins over anyone trying to 'game' the road reports.

This is still one of my favorites:

I would do this and also post pics of my radar display with what it would take to get stopped (at night when the highway was almost deserted). Fun times.

I'm JohnTChance on Waze btw. Now that I'm no longer in LE I don't care who knows. My waze avatar.

True. I've updated both. Shortest time for Google Maps to update for me = two weeks. Longest time for one of my Waze map edits to update = two days.

Palm Beach County Sheriff Rick Bradshaw wants Waze banned because he said it's unsafe and puts his deputies at risk by marking them.

This might be the greatest endorsement that any navigation app could ever hope to receive.
